    from TY Teacher Lalita

Known for her tuff, no-nonsense style, Kathleen was a devoted teacher of TriYoga. As the Yoga Princess, Kathleen treated herself like royalty. Once, I referred to her as the yoga queen, and she politely corrected me, not a queen but a princess! She was divine royalty!

As a health and fitness enthusiast, Kathleen excelled at staying fit. She took excellent care of her body, and she always looked fabulous! So, it was quite a surprise when the Papalomo virus diagnosis was in her mouth two years ago. However, she prevailed after a year of treatment, going back and forth to MD Anderson. She quickly bounced back into teaching and working.

By day she worked as a legal secretary, and by night she taught Triyoga. She was quiet and reserved by nature, lavishing her sweetness on her two beautiful Russian Wolfhounds. Adored by her partner Dickie, a Saints enthusiast, an exceptional gardener, showering her with homegrown vegetables and copious roses. Kathleen loved to paint, and I was fortunate to be a recipient of her OM paintings.

We often would catch-up in Marshall’s on Sundays afternoon after my class at the fitness center. She was an integral part of the TriYoga Team at Elmwood Fitness and the New Orleans Yoga Community.

We grieve her physical loss, but as Yogi’s, know that her spirit is shining bright as she continues upon her soul’s journey. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, her partner Dickie and her son.
