YogaTunesTM classes began in Irvine, CA on January 13. Held at Yoga Shakti Studio, over 30 students attended the first session. YogaTunes offers weekly sessions incorporating TriYoga Flows, the music of Sri Swamiji, and guidelines for a healthy diet in each class.
Sudhir Chadalavada, part of the YogaTunes Team, opened the program with a short introduction, and then Juli shared information on green-powder superfood for the Healthy Diet section.
Kelli led the TriYoga sequence
assisted by Eva-Maria (TY teacher from Berlin) and Ganga (TY teacher recently moved to Malibu from Moscow).
Sheetal, disciple of Sri Swamiji, played music and chanted during the session.
Following the program, the teachers visited the home of Ravi & Indira Renduchintala for their celebration of Sankranthi (Vedic Solstice). “Sankranthi” means “good change” in Sanskrit, and is celebrated as the days become longer and nights are shorter; it signifies the positive change of increasing the good qualities in us, and decreasing the negative ones.
