November 13-22, 2017
Santoshi returned to TYC Brovary, Ukraine for a 10-day program which included eight days of Level 3 Teacher Training; workshops on Mudra, Prana Vidya, and Physical Anatomy; Yogalflow classes of all-levels; and a party with vegan cake and chanting.
The Level 3 group included teachers from the first teacher trainings in Ukraine, as well as their students and even their students’ students! All enjoyed the added challenges and openings of Level 3.
While there, Santoshi also traveled to Odessa, where she was hosted by Olga Bronetska for a day-long “Dive into TriYoga” immersion workshop. Olga has recently transformed her home studio into the newest TriYoga Center.
TriYoga is a real “family affair” in Ukraine. TY teacher Alla and her daughter Irina have been practicing TriYoga together for years: Kaliji gave Irina a mat when she was only 5 years old, and she still practices on that mat today.
TY teacher Lena (left) was in the first TY group in Kirvograd then moved to Kiev for several years. Now she is back in Kirvograd and teaching regularly, reunited with her mother, TY teacher Vika (right).
TY illustrator Aditi brought her son to the party, where he danced and amused everyone with his enthusiasm.
TYC co-director Natasha brought her own TriYoga Baby, Polina, to class one day. Although Natasha was home with Polina, she was still very present at the teacher training, sending assistance (and snacks!) from afar.
The entire program was translated by TYC co-director Nadya (left), who also maintained her full teaching schedule during the visit. She and TY teacher (and translation-team member) Anna also completed their Level 2 certification during this time.
The program completed with a party and a vegan cake made by a local baker. Each time the baker makes a cake for a TriYoga event he creates a new recipe, this one with date filling.
