TriYoga Programs in Taiwan

///TriYoga Programs in Taiwan

John and Stephanie recently completed their Asia tour with a visit to to Taiwan from January 26 to February 18. Organized by TriYoga teacher Judy Lin in Chiayi City, the programs included Basics and Level 1 teacher training and weekend Level 2 workshops.

This was John and Stef’s third visit to Taiwan, and they were thrilled to see how TriYoga is expanding there. Teachers trained during the 2008 trainings have continued to teach TriYoga, and have inspired many new teachers and students. All of the Taiwan teachers attended programs with John and Stef this year, eager to expand their TriYoga knowledge and deepen the flow.

All programs were held in a beautiful studio inside the central Chiayi Post Office. TriYoga teacher Irma (Xiu E) Huang is the general manager of the post office, and helped to create a wonderful environment for everyone. In front of the post office is a delightful fountain made from mailboxes!

TriYoga student and organizer Julia (Chiu Yu) Lai traveled from Taipei to attend a Level 2 workshop. Julia organized the group from OKIDO yoga who visited the Santa Cruz TriYoga center last September. Julia (on right) is pictured here with Level 1 TriYoga teacher Cheryl (Hui Zhao) Yang in Cheryl’s studio. Cheryl was introduced to TriYoga during Kaliji’s first trip to Taiwan in October 2004, and has been teaching and studying TriYoga ever since.

Judy Lin was an amazing host and organizer for John and Stef’s visit, and translated for the entire event. Judy has attended hundreds of hours of teacher training in Taiwan and mainland China, and visited Santa Cruz last year with the OKIDO group. She teaches many TriYoga classes around Chiayi County, and is always finding new ways to help TriYoga grow.
