TriYoga with Santoshi

Santoshi continued her European tour with a visit to the TriYoga Center in Appenzell, Switzerland.
Many members of this community travel together every summer to visit Yogini Kaliji’s programs in Germany and Switzerland, and continue to practice together year-round. The group has a great family feeling—students stay for hours after class to talk and drink tea late into the night. In fact, many of the participants ARE family—through the weekend programs there was a mother and son, a pair of sisters, a sister and brother, a husband and wife and two different mother-daughter pairs participating!
Host Irene Rempfler first met Kaliji and TriYoga at a conference in Zurich and immediately went home and began teaching what she’d learned. She said that when she changed her teaching to TriYoga, only one student of more than 100 left her classes! She realized immediately that she wanted more wall space in her studio, so devised a clever solution:
While there, Santoshi, L3 intern Ishtar (Esther Dobler) and Irene also met daily for Level 3 teacher training. The fire flows were the perfect compliment to the cool spring weather outside.
They also got to enjoy the lovely nature and culture of this Alpine region. On the last day, they went for a walk around an old lake and village, and saw a swan couple and their nest. All were surprised when the mother stood up as though to display her eggs, then carefully turn each of them over. None in the group had ever seen this before and all felt it to be a special moment. A few weeks later, Irene was walking in the same area and saw the swan family, now expanded.
The group also recorded a unique greeting for Yogini Kaliji’s birthday celebrations, and many look forward to seeing her again this summer.
