The first part of the Basics TT ~May 27-June 5, 2014 ~ took place in DurgaDasi’s TYC. 5 students started to learn and enjoy the Basics flow. Most of the students had to travel 2-3 hours each way daily to join.
Durga Dasi’s sister Kassidy (a professor at the thermo/mechanics department at the University of science and technology)(in red TY shirt in photo above) and Kassidy’s husband Eric (Ph.D Associate Professor at the Tsinghua University, comparable to Stanford or Oxford University)(pictured here on visit to the Great Wall) were helpful support for the training.
The free day Durga, Kassidy, Eric and their son Fortune brought Eva-Maria for a sightseeing tour to the Great Wall, a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, generally built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China in part to protect the Chinese Empire or its prototypical states against intrusions.
After the excursion there was a dinner at Kassidy’s house. Her father prepared delicious vegetable-filled dumplings.
