About
Kamala Paul teaches through TriYoga Davis in Northern California and has been teaching Kali Ray TriYoga since 1991. She is certified in four levels of this method and as a Senior TriYoga Instructor she is certified to train and certify TriYoga teachers.
Since 2002 when she moved to Davis she has offered basics through advanced classes, monthly workshops and teachers trainings and certification programs. Kamala teaches regular asana flow and prana vidya classes and workshops.
Kamala finds that sometimes people new to yoga are reluctant to attend an ongoing class thinking they may not be able to keep up. Private group classes with people who know each other can make beginning less scary and more fun. Group classes for Runners, Cyclists and other athletes have been popular TriYoga Davis offerings. She’s found that offering An Introduction to TriYoga Basics Program each quarter and offering private instruction at students homes are two great ways to help people begin on the yoga path.
She knows her good luck meeting Kaliji while they both lived in Santa Cruz and benefited enormously in weekly four-hour Level 3/5 classes with Kaliji during that time.
Kamala gently suggests that her students develop a home practice, even if its just 10-20 minutes each day to stretch, strengthen, do a short yoga nidra or meditation. “My students rave about Kaliji’s Basic Earth and Water Flow photo sheets and her TriYoga Journal; they are really helpful in encouraging a home practice. I want my students to learned what I learned through this magical method–that I have and I am all that I need to be peaceful, content, joyful and to know bliss!”
