After departing Russia on June 14, John and Stephanie traveled to Kiev for a 10 day program of teacher training and workshops. John and Stef last visited Kiev in February 2010 for a month of teacher training, and in the past year the Kiev group has also hosted Kaliji and Eva-Maria Beck. It is exciting to witness how rapidly the Ukraine group is growing and developing. TriYoga teachers are offering many classes a week in the Kiev area, and new students are beginning the teacher training program. All are eagerly anticipating Kaliji’s next visit over the weekend of July 29-31.
Teachers and students after a weekend all-levels workshop.
The workshop included an introduction to Level 3. The Kiev teachers and students are well prepared and flowed beautifully.
The Basics teacher training group included students from other cities in Ukraine and Russia. The training was a great mix of both new and experienced students and interns. Congratulations to the new Basics teachers!
During the Level 1/2 training, John and Stef were reunited with many of the students from last year’s Basics and Level 1 training. It is great news to have new Level 2 teachers in Kiev!
Teacher, host and organizer Anna Lognovina (center) created a wonderful program and took fantastic care of John and Stef. Teachers Tanya Popova (right) and Katerina Degtyar (not pictured) provided translation, and teacher Anna Klymenko (left) gave great assistance in many different ways.
A large group gathered at a local coffee shop to watch Kaliji’s live broadcast on June 18.
As usual, a group of teachers made the long journey to the airport to see John and Stef depart. The loving, generous and open-hearted Ukraine group is a great example of a TriYoga community.
