On Sat., Sept. 30, TriYoga teachers from the Los Angeles area taught 125 students at a wellness fair for families being serviced by the organization, Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer).
Teamed with Children’s Hospital of L.A., where over 70 percent of their pediatric cancer patients are Latino, this 20-year organization is committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families, or any background.
Emotional and physical stress levels are high for families dealing with illness. All ages particpated together, and everyone was eager and focused as they learned TriYoga flows, pranayama, mudra, & deep relaxation techniques from Matt Chrans, featured on the TriYoga Kids DVD, and his mother, Daya. Assistant teacher, Constance Chesnut of Santa Monica donated TriYoga DVDs to all the participants & many others at the fair.
