Kaliji and group arrived at Sri Swamiji’s ashrama in Mysore at the time of the celebration of Datta Jayanti. Datta Jayanti is a 3-day celebration held each year during the full moon of December. The deity “Dattatreya”, who represents the Universal Trinity, is celebrated. The first day represents Brahma, the second day Vishnu, and the third day Siva, purna day.
In the mornings, Sri Swamiji performs Sri Chakra puja, in honor of the Mother Goddess.

On Tuesday, the Datta Seva website is being formally launched. The SGS Datta Seva Project has been developed to bring together devotee resources for a more financially sound Datta Peetham. A daily contribution of would allow everyone one to be part of the works of Datta Peetham. More info about the program here.
