May 22-29, Santoshi joined Kiki for the conclusion of her three-month, three-level Teacher Training course in her home town of Xi’An, China. Some of the students had taken Basics and Level 1 in previous years or other cities, and some began Basics with Kiki this March.
Santoshi’s arrival happened to be on Kiki’s birthday–so many of the students joined for a surprise dinner to celebrate!
Students and teachers loved the Water flow– learning a new appreciation for the wisdom and clarity in the systematic approach.
This group loved to be together and planned activities many days after the training. They had two movie nights to watch Forks Over Knives and Cowspiracy (complete with vegan pot-luck dinners) as well as sampling several of the local vegetarian restaurants (one of which featured a beautiful Buddhist wall painting) and a walk on the ancient city walls of Xi’An.
They also loved to share: when one found something she liked, she would arrange the chance for everyone else in the group to get it. By the end of the training, many of the students had matching mat bags, tank tops, headbands, and even personalized mats~ they gave one as a gift to Santoshi and also prepared mats for DJ and for KALIJI.
Another highlight was the Skype date with KALIJI, who had met many of them on Skype after the Level 1 training. They loved to share this time with her, and many were buzzing afterwards about how beautiful, calm, and energetic Kaliji is– how they could feel the energy even through the computer screen!
The group continues to share– they have a WeChat (a social media site) group in which they post daily pictures, questions, and encouragements to each other as they went back to their home towns to share TriYoga.

Dennis is also one of the coordinators for the Dalian Yoga Conference that Kaliji will attend in September. Yu Feng (right) organized the trainings this year and last year, and is always looking for more ways to bring TriYoga to Xi’An.
