Kaliji’s summer tour continued with the first TriYoga retreat in Italy. Organized by teacher Johanna (TY Center, Allershausen Germany), the retreat took place at Lago di Braccianno, just north of Rome.
All enjoyed the beautiful, warm weather and the open air yoga room. The lovely weather allowed the group to split into different levels for prana vidya and asana practice.
Kaliji taught the main Level 2 group…
John and Stephanie taught the Level 3/4 group…
and Mitra Deva taught Basics/Level 1.
Each evening concluded with lively chanting sessions with Kaliji and Mercury Max, inspiring many dancers!
The afternoon schedule allowed time for nature walks, trips to Lake Bracciano and sightseeing. Kaliji and travel group are pictured here in Rome (as usual, John is taking the photo). Kateryna (on Kaliji’s right) first met Kaliji in her native Ukraine and now lives and teaches in Rimini, Italy. Eva-Maria (on Kaliji’s left) provided alignment assistance and translation during the retreat.
Vegan meals at the retreat were created by a local mother and daughter team. They used amazing Italian summer produce to create vibrant, energizing dishes. Pictured here is a beautiful tray composed by vegan chef Mitra Deva.

Russian native Nalia first met Kaliji 20 years ago. She then saw Kaliji again 10 years ago, and then moved to Italy. One month ago, her husband passed away and she called another TriYoga friend, wishing to find Kaliji. She was amazed when she found out that Kaliji was coming to Bracciano– a short, 5 minute drive from her home!
