This year’s magical TriYoga Retreat in India began on September 25 when nearly 30 participants joined Yogini Kaliji in Mysore for TriYoga sadhana, Devi Navaratri celebrations with Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji at Datta Peetham ashrama, Ayurvedic treatments at Windflower Resort, and endless opportunities for shopping and sightseeing.
This year’s tour included a group of 16 from China, and attendees from Australia, Germany, India, Russia, and the USA.
Yogini Kaliji taught all levels yogaflow and prana vidya sessions at Windflower Retreat. Classes at sunrise took advantage of the cool, quiet morning energy and were a wonderful way to start each day.
Classes were assisted by senior-teachers Santoshi and John from the USA and Eva-Maria from Germany. Teacher Ganga and Alexey also offered assistance. Tina provided Chinese translation.

Devi Navaratri is the 9-night celebration of Universal Energy. Celebrations at Datta Peetham ashrama feature colorful Hindu ceremonies and a focus on music by Sri Swamiji and top Indian classical artists.

Datta Peetham ashrama is home to Shuka Vana Aviary, a world-class rehabilitation center for non-Indian birds which are injured or disbanded and need care. The aviary currently contains over 1100 birds from over 275 species of parrots, including a number of threatened, vulnerable, endangered, and critically endangered species.
Yogini Kaliji and a group of retreat attendees had the good fortune to attend a ceremony at Shuka Vana in the presence of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji.
Every year during Devi Navaratri, the city of Mysore dresses itself in lights as part of the celebration!
