Zell am Moos, Austria
Santoshi was at the beautiful SunSpirit Yoga School in Zell am Moos, Austria for a Basics certification program. The training, taught by Johanna Schuhbauer specifically for teachers of other yoga styles, began in October and met six times over the intervening months.
Santoshi was joined by TY teachers Kiki (Christiane Baulmann, from Berlin) and Ishtar (from St Gallen, Switzerland). The interns all commented on their “luxury” experience of having three teachers in the room, and appreciated the individual attention they received. Several of them have been practicing yoga for more than twenty years, and expressed a deep appreciation for the details of TriYoga and the meditative atmosphere that results from careful concentration.
Each day of the training included a lunch break for vegan soup, carefully prepared by a friend of organizer Monika. Students said that in all the days of the training, they never had the same soup twice! There was also time for daily walks in the beautiful spring weather.
On Saturday night, the group had dinner at the famous Furberg Restaurant, nearby Zell am Moos at Wolfgang Lake. The chefs created a special vegan menu for the group which included white asparagus, a fresh local delicacy.
Several of the teachers had met Yogini Kaliji on her recent visit to Munich, and are making plans to attend other European programs—and planning their Level 1 Training!
