» Shreedhar’s Insulin
One family in India, supported by the son Shreedhar, met Kaliji on a tour to India. Shreedhar has diabetes. Barely making ends meet, he was not able to afford his insulin. No one told Kaliji about his health condition, however, prior to leaving India, she felt he needed help in some way, so she gave him some money. She found out that he was in need of medication, yet could not afford it. He said his medicine cost $50 per month and this donation made the difference between life and death for him. In a letter to Kaliji, Shreedhar writes, “You are something more than mother…You are the Goddess who gave life to me.” His sister writes, “Your support to us is somewhat like a person dying in desert [who] got his life [back].” Donations to this fund will go toward ensuring that Shreedhar will have the medication he needs.
